Group Pilates
Vanessa is an APPI pilates rehab instructor, so all classes in person are suitable for a range of conditions and injuries.

All classes are based on the mat and follow a series of APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) pilates method exercises which are suitable for all levels. This is a form or rehabilitation to improve spinal mobility, posture, body awareness, bone health, balance and to strengthen, tone and increase flexibility of all parts of the body. It will help to future proof your fitness and help prevent injury long-term.

Pre-Class Assessment
Everyone needs a pre-class assessment. It may be free and over the phone if I need some questions answered about your health questionnaire. Or it will be an in person assessment.
The in-person assessment (60mins / £59) is to assess your posture, mobility and muscle strength. It will introduce you to the two key elements of pilates: breath and centering (core and pelvic floor engagement and neutral pelvis). These are the foundations you will need to strengthen your body safely and effectively in a group class. This assessment option is recommended if you are new to pilates, have a special condition (osteoporosis, hyper flexibility, low back pain, hip bursitis, joint replacements, scoliosis) or are post injury.

Please wear a fitted t-shirt and either exercise leggings or shorts to your assessment, a different colour top to bottoms. Hair ideally off your face and neck.

Please bring a towel or mat to your assessment at Goring-on-Thames.
