Service Description

The theme for this course is Anatomical Planes. This fun and challenging course uses weights, bands and body weight to strengthen the whole body in one plane of movement per class. Usually all three are combined. By focusing on one plane at a time we can improve our balance for runners/walkers/cyclists - Sagittal Plane. We stretch and strengthen our bodies by moving our limbs away from the midline- Frontal Plane. Lastly we address stiffness and weakness in shoulders, hips and torso with rotation for golfers/tennis players - Transverse Plane. Combining all three becomes a doddle after that! This class has a loyal attendance by regulars, is very welcoming and is aimed at those wanting a step up from beginner level in pace and challenge. It a sociable morning wake up class to start your day after a good sleep feeling stronger, more supple and lengthened. There is an optional weekly coffee catch up at Maker Space. These courses (4-8 weeks long) run throughout the year with a different theme to make them fun, varied and challenging. You'll progress from Beginner level exercises Week 1 to Intermediate level every course, creating a safe and effective way of improving strength, balance and flexibility. Whether you have a condition (low back pain, arthritis, hyper flexibility, post injury) or not you'll receive hands-on correction and modifications with only 8 in a class.
